This Home was built in 1904 by Alex Bunnie, a master craftsman, for Sam and Mary Clark. He was the Gold Assessor. I got the home from their successors. I completely restored the home to commercial grade standards. Exterior firewall, 5/8 sheet-rock interior, electrical run in EMT, cast iron DWV, 3 zone hydronic heating, 2 enameled cast iron wood stoves. I built a garage/shop in the rear of the property with 220 volt wiring, gas, a skylight, and a 1/2 bath. I bought this home because of the intricate Victorian detailing. And the doors are a 5 panel Victorian style – never painted; the finish is hand rubbed oil. The veined casings and casement blocks and the plinth blocks are very unique, also oiled. The clear wood floors are original. This home was a Bed & Breakfast to share with appreciative people. The property is zoned commercial. I requested a cost from a door manufacturing company for one such door; they replied the cost would be astronomical. As a builder/carpenter I estimate the cost to replicate this home to be $2,000,000.
